Many would agree that Colorado is the place to be. The scene is dripping in brilliance, with its stimulating multitude of live music, arts, dining, yoga, healers, adventure and breathtaking scenery. Not only is Colorado the perfect place to express yourself and try new things that beckon curiously, but it also allows for infinite ways to connect with free-spirited, warm individuals and to thrive together as a unified community. This June, thousands will come together for a weekend of art, music, dance, yoga, workshops and mind-blowing performances in the pristine Colorado wilderness that is Spanish Peaks Country. Nestled in the foothills of the majestic Rocky Mountains, Hummingbird Ranch is a lovely dream of a location for a festival like this. Take a refreshing dip in the creek, chill in the trees or discover your own magical nook to hang up your hammock and call home for a little while. Awaken your senses and reconnect with our wildly remarkable Mama Earth as you take in all the magic that this festival has to offer.
Sonic Bloom is sure to please an array of music-lovers with a groovy lineup including The Polish Ambassador, Claude Vonstroke, The Funkhunters and Chali 2na, The Floozies, Ott, Gigantic Cheese Biscuits and so much more. Grab your glitter and strap on your space boots! Prepare to be mesmerized, elevated and transformed by the lush vibes and beautiful people that Sonic Bloom attracts.
Whether you’re wandering starry-eyed through vibrant, interactive installations or admiring the impressive artwork coming to life before your eyes, being transported through portals of sound and frequency or expanding your mind and healing your heart, there is always an abundance of life and love to discover.
What makes Sonic Bloom such an influential, transformative festival, beyond their commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility, is the unique and innovative platforms they offer to anyone who feels called to make a difference and dive deeper into their realms of interest. The Sonic Bloom Academy series will be held again this year, for four days leading up to the festival, with four distinct areas of study: Music Production, Visionary Art, Movement Arts & Permaculture. These immersive, informational experiences are offered along with shared meals and evening celebrations to empower, expand creatively and reshape inner and outer realities.
Along with the Academy series, Sonic Bloom has teamed up with District ONE, an organization that promotes healthy living through sustainable practices and renewable technology. Caring for the land and giving back is something that matters much to the Sonic Bloom community, so it makes sense that the unofficial kick-off to the weekend would be a Permaculture Action Day at a local farm. These free events happen all around Colorado, with continued loving support from artists like Polish Ambassador and Rising Appalachia. Everyone is welcome to get their hands dirty and celebrate the land, while building something fruitful and long-lasting for the local community. It’s truly amazing to see how much can be done in a day when we unite under a common vision. At this particular Permaculture Action Day, a rainwater harvesting and irrigation system will be installed, greenhouses and a proper composting system constructed, and plenty of raised beds built and planted.
Sonic Bloom’s mission is way beyond making a splash as a Colorado music festival. It’s more about bringing people together to celebrate life and co-create; art, music, beauty, connection and sweet, sweet memories.
