Located in beautiful Uvita, Costa Rica where the rainforest connects to pristine tropical beach, the Envision Music Festival is truly paradise on earth. It’s a festival lover’s dream. With jaw dropping production, surreal performances, warm sandy beaches, dreamy sunsets, workshops, yoga, and a community of inspiring individuals, this festival is among the best in the world. It brings a community of people who embrace opening up to one another with a collective vision to make a difference in the world. Envision brings cultural celebration to a new level with the goal of building a community and platform to inspire through co-creation, art, and music.
There’s something about dancing to funky beats in the jungle that makes you want to get down and move like you’ve never have before. Envision hosted a perfect line up that kept people dancing from dusk to dawn. With artists like Opio, Autograph, Rising Appalachia, Papadosio and Goldfish there was not a moment where the music wasn’t on point! Not only was the music amazing, but the stage production and stage performances were out of this world.
The production group Reliquarium, who started three years ago by making the entrance piece for Envision, built one of the largest art cars displayed Burning Man in 2016 for Root Society. That work really made Reliquarium’s reputation and demonstrated their talent in this artistic specialty. Reliquarium got called to design this year’s main stage, called Luna, at Envision. Luna is the focal point for innovative design and is truly visual art. The stage is completely custom, hand-made jungle tech stage vibes. “The Reliquarium, combines design, technology, nature, and engineering to execute projects from conceptualization through final design and implementation, are creating inspirational works of art for universal audiences.” You could see the team’s hard work and dedication poured into this stage’s creation. I would consider it one of the top art stages to ever be built. The digital mapping used the best visual engineering out there. It left people in a trance and was the “cherry on top” of that gorgeous stage. It had some of the most amazing psychedelic thought out visuals. There were also 5 dance pillars that shot out pillars of fire that gave the stage that special burner vibe. I can not wait to see what the Reliquarium innovates for Envision next year.
Envision Festival celebrates a community dedicated to awakening one’s human potential, and they provide some of the most inspiring people on the planet through their spoken intentions, deeply-held values, and evolving, growing community.
